PUCL formally received a communication from the Meitei Heritage Society signed by 37 individuals and organizations titled, “Public Rebuttal of PUCL’s Partisan Fact-Finding Report on Manipur” to the Report of the `Independent People’s Tribunal on the`Ongoing Ethnic Conflict in Manipur’.
We are offering the following reply to the 16 issues posed by them. It should be pointed out that the Independent People’s Tribunal (IPT) was formed by the PUCL but is independent of the PUCL. The Report released on 20th August, 2025 is the Report of the IPT. This reply is being issued by the Secretariat of the IPT formed with PUCL members and others to assist the Independent People’s Tribunal. This Reply is being issued by the Secretariat.
